Yes! Any appointment booked with us includes a bath with high-quality PH-balanced shampoo and conditioner. Keeping your pet's skin and coat clean and maintained regularly can help prevent a large variety of skin issues, matting, and more.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to perform any services on your pet without documented proof of Rabies vaccination. This is to ensure the safety of our groomers, as well as the pets in our care during their appointments. There are many options to ensure your pet is protected. There are mobile pet vaccination clinics, walk in pet clinics, as well as your regular veterinarian.

Any double-coated breed that is leaving bits of its hair around on your clothes, furniture, and in the corners of your home can benefit from a de-shedding treatment. We use iGroom deshedding & detangling products as they are SLS, Paraben & Sulfate. You will see a massive reduction in shedding for 3-4 weeks after the treatment. Removing dead undercoats is extremely important, and our groomers will provide extra brushing with any deshedding treatment to ensure we are removing as many dead undercoats as possible.

**Keep in mind, there is no way to ever fully eliminate shedding hair. All animals with hair shed their dead hair. (Think of the hair on your shower floor after washing your hair!)

Our team at Fang & Claw above all else values humanity over vanity. Some matting can be easily removed without much damage to the coat, but it varies greatly on a case-to-case basis. The most important thing is to ensure you are making the right move for the health and comfort of your pet. You will be notified at check-in or as soon as possible if the degree of matting is beyond what we consider workable, at which point we will discuss alternatives and salvageable length before we begin the haircut.  We understand how hard it can be to maintain your pet's coat, and we offer hands-on demonstrations of brushing and combing by request.
